These fish patron you find on the walkways along the beach in Barra. Little black an white stones are unique to Rio. You see them at the Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon.

We have moved and in the area where we live, there is no bridge, we use a little boat to cross the small canal. It's very peaceful and you see a fair amount of wildlife.

Love this shopping mall it is open air with a lots of shade and wonderful greenery, its not so crowded and a lot smaller than Barra Shopping, but I can find here almost every thing I need. And the girls from the coffee shop are darlings.

Last Sunday we made a trip to Jardim Bôtanico, a beautiful park with enormous palms , wonderful flowers and and oasis of peace and rest and it was cool, lots of shade. A must for our future visitors.

During my stay in Nordic countries like Norway and Scotland I never had the desire to unpack my skates. When I saw an ice rink in Down Town Shopping and saw Brazilians skating. Being Dutch, it felt like a disgrace not to skate. So after aproximately 15 years,

I skated (stumbled) away.
